We’ve Been Boo’ed!

Our house has been boo’ed! I came home from work a short time ago and found this on our doorstep:

The note and treat bag were left by an anonymous boo’er! So cute.

Having a great fall day. I was very productive at work today, conducting an assessment, developing a child’s objectives, meeting with one of my volunteers working on my possible dissertation project, meeting with the social worker for supervision, and completing a bunch more random tasks, including developing a really cool Likert scale about didactic versus collaborative parent training.

Like I said before, I am in between school projects…too early to start work on my pre-dissertation research project presentation, finished with the actual paper, and can’t start writing my qualifying papers until I meet with Sally. I have gotten a ton done in these in-between weeks, like trained on parent training, accruing hours for my social work license, and training therapists, but I have this guilt like I’m not doing enough. I know I have to wait, so I’m trying to learn to enjoy the free time. My friend Amy tried to alleviate my guilt…

Have I mentioned my friend Amy? We have grown so close. She’s a year under me in my program, and we’ve recently started working together. She is a dog lover and has two “JoJos” of her own. Somehow we’ve quickly gotten on each other’s “short lists”–we go to each other first, and we give each other all sorts of treats. I came into my office today to find a gift from her on my chair. She’s the best, and I know she’ll be a very long-term friend.

Off to LA tomorrow night!!
