Favorite Type of Day

It is my absolute favorite type of day: chilly and drizzly, with the smell of burning leaves and wood in the air. The first rain drops of the day fell on me just now as I went to check the mail. I’m now cuddled up with a cup of tea and about to begin scrapbooking for the evening.
This follows a productive day, during part of which I edited a colleague’s paper. He was so inspiring by my recent publication that he did his own mini-research project, basing his methods on what I did. It meant a lot to me that he asked me, in his oh-so-respectful manner, to edit his paper, and he cited me in it, twice!! I’m glad that what I wrote is being used, and is inspiring other people.
Changing topics…my wrist has for some strange reason been in an extreme amount of pain for a couple of days. I had to go buy a brace and have been trying to keep it immobile as much as possible. It’s finally feeling a bit better today, so I’m getting back to doing things (typing, writing, scrapbooking, using a spoon…). JoJo is not sure she is entirely supportive of my brace:
I think my favorite part of this clip is the end, where JoJo realizes she is being taped. I have secretly taped Nik before, and this is the same exact look he gets on his face when he realizes he’s being taped, too.
So now that I’m feeling better and all cozied up, time to scrapbook…
