The Rest of the Trip!

Most of our recent trip to Amesbury has been overshadowed with the excitement of the engagement, but the rest of the trip was fantastic as well! Here are some highlights…
The making of Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful. I enjoy the making of dinner just as much–or even moreso–than the eating of it. We were all together in Memere and Pepere’s kitchen, everyone with a task, chatting and laughing and sipping autumn sangria. Here is Memere:
One thing that made this Thanksgiving trip so special was the presence of my aunt Sharon, uncle Paul, and cousins Ryan and Sara. I am really close to Sara and wish that I could see her more, but she lives in North Carolina. We got to spend some time together on this trip, which I loved. Here we are on our photoshoot in Memere and Pepere’s backyard:
The night of Thanksgiving, my mom, Mandi, Nik and I went on a drive around Amesbury and engaged in some Amesbury antics. Nik and I tried to recreate aunt Sharon and uncle Paul’s photo once published in the local newspaper, and Mandi and I…went on the swings…
The next day, we all headed over to Portsmouth, NH. The boys–Nik, Paul, and Ryan–went to a sports bar to watch the hockey game and eat lunch, while the girls–me, my mom, Mandi, Sharon, Sara, and Memere–went shopping and to the brewery for lunch. This is a shot of Mandi and I by the water:
That night was the APC (Amesbury Pub Crawl)!!! We met a ton of family and friends at the local bars and had a GREAT TIME. The night was full of playing darts and pool, drinks, and spontaneous jumping jacks and dance parties. Here is Nik with my cousin Billy, doing something really out of character for both of them:

Needless to say, we had a blast and got very little sleep that night. The rest of the trip was Ogunquit, the engagement, and some more exploring!
