Happy Birthday, JoJo!

Today is JoJo’s4th birthday! Since we had Kirby, we have always been dog birthday celebrators (I know…this is a fact I don’t usually tell people until after I’ve known them for awhile!). Anyway, this year is no exception! Nik and I did have to work today, but I gave the birthday girl some special birthday cookies in the morning, and came home to see her as soon as I could.

Tonight, after Nik and I were home, the first of the celebrations began. I asked JoJo if she would “like some birthday presents.” She understood that, and she ran over to where I had stored her birthday package sent by my mom. Chaos ensued. She opened the gifts which were wrapped, pulled off their tags, and started in on them. Here is a fraction of the aftermath.

She is now curled up, peaceful and innocent-looking, on her new blankie.

On Saturday, my friends Amy and Carolyn are bringing their dogs over to further celebrate. If I thought tonight was chaotic…Saturday is going to be INSANE. I can’t wait.
