Birthday Week, Thus Far

As Nik mentioned in a previous post, I really, really love my birthday! I tend to streeeeettttcccchhhh my birthday out to encompass the entire month, or at least the week. Well, I have really been enjoying my birthday week thus far. It began, technically, with the first birthday acknowledgement (with the exception of Nik, who even remembered to wish me a happy three-days-before-your-birthday-month on March 29) at work last Friday. At our big monthly meeting, we had raspberry cheesecake and my co-workers sang me happy birthday. Shortly after that at home, Nik and I whipped up a batch of the most delectable, most incredible chocolate chip cookie dough known to man. It was a huge batch, and we’ve been baking cookies from it all week. Guilt-free excessive cookie eating, that’s definitely birthday week worthy!
My friend Carolyn suggested that we go out to celebrate both my birthday and Amy’s, whose is a day after mine. Any excuse to hang out with these two (the same two-legged trio that attended JoJo’s birthday party) is a good excuse to me! When trying to decide where to go, Carolyn demanded, on my behalf, that we go somewhere with a good mojito. Naturally, we ended up at Bistro 33. We had a blast chatting and laughing. Here we are:
