Sunday Update

I am lazing around in my pajamas at noon, sipping coffee out of one of my Ogunquit mugs while JoJo cuddles at my feet. It has been a phenomenal weekend and I look forward to today continuing on just as fantastically.

I worked long hours last week, so I stayed home on Friday and took it off completely (no paper writing, no working, no checking work e-mail!). Instead, I scrapbooked, did a bit of shopping with Nik, and did some wedding planning. I started in on bridesmaids dress shopping, and have chosen the designer and color of the dresses! It’s a gorgeous fall color, and the designer makes incredible, beautiful dresses (I kind of want some, myself!!!). It was a really fun, totally relaxing day.

Yesterday Nik took me shopping. A month or so ago, I discovered a scrapbook store in Rocklin–a solid 40+ miles away. This store, Green Tangerines, is amazing. It is the biggest, most well-stocked store with the most gorgeous and unique scrapbook supplies I have ever seen. It’s HUGE. I nearly cried with delight the first time we stepped foot in the door. Well, Nik has been bringing me there with good regularity ever since. He holds my purse and my basket and helps me match colors. It’s very sweet (even when he tries to get me to use Star Wars paper). So we went there yesterday and I stocked up for my next three pages.

Rocklin, near Roseville, holds a ton of restaurants and shops. When we drive so far just to go to this store, we generally make a day out of it, going out to eat (once or twice), going to a movie, doing more shopping. We did this yesterday, too. We also went out to lunch out there and shopped extensively at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. New bedding alwways makes me quite happy, and this is no exception. We bought all new bedding for the guest room, but bedding that also works in our room. We bought a new down comforter and duvet cover…our guests are going to be soooo comfortable.

The shopping experience continued when we got home, where I bought JoJo and Logan new collars on Etsy and then made the most extravagent, possibly silliest purchase ever: a ridiculously expensive trash can from Williams Sonoma. I can’t wait for it to arrive. It’s amazing!

Off I go to put finishing touches on one of my pages, and then to make my shopping list for the next trip out to Rocklin…

Nat, thank you for always commenting. :)

Your mind will be blown by this trash can! Hahaha.

Sounds good. We should hit up a Rocklin movie and dinner. Why have you been hanging out in Rocklin? Does Sean live nearby?
