Las Vegas!

This past weekend, Mandi, Justine, and I had a BLAST in Las Vegas! Just as predicted, it was a fun, relaxing, and gluttonous weekend of sun, pool time, food, drink, shenanigans, etc. I really liked travelling with both of my sisters at once–it was a lot of fun for the three of us to be together. Here are some pictures and details…
Justine’s one request was to go on rollercoasters. I hate rollercoasters (!!), but seeing as this was her special trip and only request, I obliged. We went on the rollercoaster at New York, New York. I can’t say that I enjoyed the bumpy ride, but they seemed to! Here we are right after the ride…
After walking around the Strip in the heat, nothing sounded better than getting in the pool! So we headed back to the resort and spent the late afternoon and into the evening at the pool. We swam and lounged and drank and napped and chatted and laughed into the night.
After so much pool time, we were finally hungry again, so we headed to KGB, a gourmet burger place at Harrah’s. Mandi had seen their waffle fry nachos featured on the Food Network, so we went with those in mind. They were INCREDIBLE.
We spent the entire next day at the pool–from the time we woke up until it was time to get ready for dinner. It was a fantastically fun day full of Vegas-like shenanigans.
That evening, we headed to Shibuya at MGM Grand for dinner, and then to see a Cirque de Soleil show, KA. Dinner featured such items as mango sashimi and sorbet topped with flakes of gold…yummy. We had great seats for the show–right up front, where we could see costume details, sweat, wigs, etc.!
After the show, we headed back to the resort in the most bumping, happening taxi ever…

…and then enjoyed some champagne and…leftover popcorn…(don’t ask).
By the end of the evening, we were experts on Macaulay Culkin (again, don’t ask…it’s related to pool shenanigans) and Googling things.
We roused ourselves the next morning to head to Mandara Spa at Paris for Fire and Ice pedicures. We all got to sit together, which was fun.
Sporting our toe separators, we headed down the Strip a bit to get to the Cosmopolitan, where we enjoyed brunch at the Wicked Spoon. I mean, we REALLY ENJOYED BRUNCH. The buffet featured such items as watermelon gazpacho, BLT salad, salmon pizza, sushi, truffle potatoes au gratin, asiago-stuffed gnocci, tacos al pastor, chicken salad sliders, and gold flakes. Yep–more gold flakes!
After brunch, we hopped in a taxi and booked it over to the Las Vegas sign. (That is a to-go bloody mary in Mandi’s hand…)
What a great trip! Happy graduation, Justine!!

Girls…. Thank you so much for showing Justine such a good time!!! and thank you for being such great sisters to her. I love you all!!
