A little Monday evening update…

We had a fun and relaxing weekend. Our friend Amy moved on Saturday, so we offered to have her lab Wags over for a playdate for the day. JoJo and Wags have spent a lot of time together and really like each other. They know each other well enough that they can punctuate their hours of tug-of-war with rest, and they’re really well-behaved together (except for a ham and cheese sandwich theft, which I won’t elaborte on…). He was over for a long time, and both dogs had a good time.

Since we were one sandwich short for lunch, when Wags went home with his mommy, Nik and I headed to Vacaville to go to Panera Bread for dinner. Yum!

Yesterday, we spent the day shopping. Nik and I have started to run, so I invested in a good pair of running shoes. We also picked up some new light fixtures and went out to lunch. When we got home, we installed the new light fixtures (which we looooove!). Such an improvement over the tacky brass fixtures the prior owners had up.

After a long while of home improvement, we tried out my running shoes on the trail. It was a good run, but I had to jump over a snake on the trail! Scary! This is only the second snake we’ve seen up here, so I’m not too worried about them and I’m sure they’re just garter snakes anyway…but it definitely spooked me and gave me the heebie-jeebies.

I am really into a new television show, and I have 53 hour-long episodes to get through…so off I go to indulge!
